Find Your Fun — Everywhere
Our Friston is perfect if you’re looking for a gravel bike that’s fun, versatile and will push the limits of what you can do off-road on a drop-barred bike. Load up and leave home or take the wild way to work and back, the Friston is designed to go the bike packing distance, and makes the journey the best part of the experience. Light yet tough, lively yet surefooted, fast on the road, fun in the woods, the Friston is more than just gravel.

Highlights
— Lightweight 6061 T6 hydroformed, multi-butted alloy Single Chain Ring (1X) specific frame
— Full carbon tapered straight blade fork
— SRAM Apex 11 speed mechanical transmission + hydraulic disc brakes
— 1x11 transmission (38T chainring x 10-42T cassette)
— Remote-controlled dropper post
— Clearance for up to 700x50mm rear + 29x2.0in front tyres

Why Friston?
Lightweight and responsive, the Friston is perfect for fast-paced commutes – and with its proven trail-taming handling it has the edge when the road stops and the real fun begins. Contemporary mountain bike (MTB) influences include a longer reach, a short stem and a wider bar. We stopped short of a crazy-slack head angle because Whyte’s Total Geometry concept creates off-road control through fork geometry genius instead. That way you get the same confident MTB feel without the flop and wander of a slack head angle. The result isn’t just on-trail confidence, but a neutral and natural steering feel on road, too. That doesn’t change when you’re loaded up with bike-packing gear either. We even fitted a dropper post as standard so your saddle won’t get in the way of confident control and rider balance. Perfect for when chasing those singletrack thrills or when the rougher end of the gravel spectrum suddenly gets steep and techy.

Plus, if you want to push your riding even further off-road – or tailor your ride for a variety of different uses – the frame will take up to a 700x50mm tyre in the rear and up to a 29x2.0in tyre up front for a massive grip, comfort and confidence boost through all weathers.

Features & Equipment
Practical, good looking and always ready for adventure, Friston is your ideal getaway partner. Wide-range SRAM Apex single ring 1x11 gearing makes climbing easy – whether summiting mountain passes with bike packing gear or making up for lost time after the morning alarm didn’t go off. The lightweight, rough-smoothing carbon fork boosts all-day comfort. SRAM Apex 1 hydraulic disc brakes with a larger 180mm front rotor give you maximum braking control and mean stopping is never an issue either. Sealing gussets and adding masses of mud clearance around 700x45mm tyres mean bad weather will never hold you back. And if that wasn’t enough, the alloy frame and carbon fork have mounts to take a full set of bike packing gear or conventional pannier racks, so the Friston can be ridden as far or fast as you like.

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.
